Hot in the City

This is about the life of Miss Mo, a 30-something gal who recently moved back to Singapore from the US.

Does Miss Mo look like Moses Lim?

I was at Guardian Pharmacy the other day and this saleslady approached me. She pointed at the 'Xando' signboard. Xando is a diet supplement. She said to me "Xando is blah blah blah and is sponsored by Moses Lim."

I looked at her and asked her "Do you think I need to lose weight like Moses Lim?!?" She said "oh no lah, I don't mean it that way. It's just that you seem to have a little tummy" I told her "I'm not interested."

When I walked away to look for what I wanted to get, she came forward and continued "atually xando is not a pill, blah blah blah" I told her "Did you hear what I just said earlier? I told you I am not interested."

She walked away. Grr...!

Miss Mo goes Dating

I haven't really noticed it but I've discovered another trend amongst guys in Singapore guys.

They love going to KTV! They always ask me whether I go to Karaoke. I would reply that I do but not often. Out of 10 guys I meet, at least 5 go to KTV on a regular basis.

It's funny because in the US, we hardly could find guys to go to KTV. Here're there are more guys that go to KTV and they're always in need of girls at such KTV sessions.

Strange...now I've go update myself with the Mandarin songs. I no longer dare to sing my 80s Cantonese songs in front of them. LOL!

Miss Mo Balik Kampung

Sigh! England lost in the World Cup but they weren't the best team but at least there was a glimmer of hope. Oh well, I will still continue to support the Azzuris.

After staying up till 2am to watch England lost, I had to wake up at 8am the next morning to catch the bus to Changi Village and then catch the boat to Pulau Ubin. I'm too embarrassed to say but I must admit that it was my maiden trip to the island. I didn't know the boat ride was so short. It was nothing compared to my horrifying boat ride in Phuket. No one would believe me except for the other people on the same boat as me.

I went with a group of singles. This trip was organized by this guy, M Lim. I like M Lim but I dont' think it's reciprocated. Anyway, it was lots of fun. We rented a bike for $4 and it was for the whole day. The cycling was lots of fun although there were lots of uphill but it sure was refreshing. I'd definitely go back there again.
