Hot in the City

This is about the life of Miss Mo, a 30-something gal who recently moved back to Singapore from the US.

Getaway at Sentosa

OK, peeps. When was the last time you were at a chalet?!? Can you even recall? Well, I was at one in December, at Sentosa NTUC chalet. They don't call it chalets now, it's called the Costa Sands Resort.

Well, I guess Big is quite a sentimental guy when he suggested going to a chalet. I exclaimed to say who would go to a chalet nowadays. Alas, I gave in on the condition that I decide the destination of our next trip. It'd probably be a weekend getaway on Bintan Island.

The resort wasn't that bad. It's situated along Siloso Beach, right next to the new Sentosa Beach Resort. The rooms have a/c, TV, fridge and hot water.

After spending 2 days on Sentosa, we concluded that it's basically quite boring, expensive and had lousy food there, unless we stay at the Beaufort and dine at the Cliff. Moreover, it rained on the first day we were there. However, we enjoyed ourselves tremendously, exploring the island. We visited Fort Siloso, hiked a little on the Dragon trail and walked a lot. But we were so ready to leave the island on the third day. I guess it'd be 10 years later before we stay at Sentosa again. Maybe not since the casino is opening soon.
