Hot in the City

This is about the life of Miss Mo, a 30-something gal who recently moved back to Singapore from the US.

A day with the Desperate Housewives

Saturday, I had an extremely busy schedule, most of which was spent with desperate housewives. Ha! Literally!

I played tennis in the morning. Then I went home for a light lunch and a shower and off I went to PS Cafe at Paragon to meet 2 desperate housewives, Cooking Diva and Marathon Mom. LOL!

It was my first time at PS Cafe and it was surprisingly good. The decor and the people reminded me a lot of cafes in Manhattan, especially those in downtown. I had the Laksa Pesto pasta. It was delicious. It was sort of east meet west but very appetizing. It went well with my Chardonnay. Cooking Diva had a cesar salad and Marathon Mom had a beef sandwich, not sure whether it was pastrami. Anywho, we were really satisfied with the food and service. We have heard bad things about the service at the one on Dempsey Road.

We were walking towards the MRT station when 2 Temasek polytechnic girls stopped me. They were holding cameras and wanted to take pictures of how I reacted after one of them uttered a comment. So I waited and one of them said "I think you're very beautiful!" I wanted to show the 'Yeah-I-knew-that-already-face' but changed my mind instead and showed them a surprised yet happy face. How fake but I just took it as the truth and it made my day. LOL!

Then Marathon Mom and I rushed to Raffles city for the River Island fashion show. It was held in conjunction with the Singapore Fashion Festival, which I think came and went away without much mayhem. The models were flown in from the UK. The clothes were very brit. I would say British high street fashion is forever the same! Ha! The show lasted for about 20 mins, which was just nice because I was getting bored.

Next, I rushed to Costa Rhu for a Desperate Housewives' bbq. The food were yummy! Wings, shrimps, beef, portebello mushrooms, fish fingers. I'm hungry already! It was to celebrate Superstar's postbox project and also her birthday too. Hurray!

Cheers to all desperate housewives!
