Hot in the City

This is about the life of Miss Mo, a 30-something gal who recently moved back to Singapore from the US.

Miss Mo Makans

I had some delicious food recently.

Rambutans! My mom has never bought rambutans because she has always assumed that I don't like rambutans until a recent conversation that I told her that I've always loved rambutans but never have a chance to eat them because she never buys them. Kekekeke!

Whenever I ask her why she doesn't cook certain dishes, she always claims it is because I don't eat them. But if she doesn't cook them, how would she know that I don't eat them? Hmm...

I went to Toast last weekend. It is located at Ngee Ann City. I had the Chicken Masala wrap, which had chicken, mint leaves and mango. It was good but a little on the dry side. I had a big cuppa of joe, which they call 'Long White'. They only had nutella cupcakes left so I didn't get any.

I also went to Toast Box, which is the BreadTalk's version of Ya Kun Kaya Toast. It was my first time there. I ordered their Otah Toast, which is like Kaya Toast but with Otah and their bread is like the Challah bread, thick and not too soft. It was delicious; even the lady sitting next to me kept asking me whether it was good. Yummy!

I like to take the fruit out, wash it and refrigerate it before eating. And eat some while I'm peeling the hairy bits off. I'd usually whack 3/4 kg at one go and end up with bad sore throat. Never understood what moderation meant.
