Hot in the City

This is about the life of Miss Mo, a 30-something gal who recently moved back to Singapore from the US.

Miss Mo goes Glam

Last Saturday, Superstar and I went to Arab Street. Our intention is to check out the surrounding streets, the stores there and of course, Blu Jazz Cafe.

We really liked what we saw. The architecture in that area is really so colorful. We had dinner at this restaurant on Bussoroh Street. The service was really slow but luckily we had all the time to kill.

After that we proceeded to Blu Jazz Cafe. We both heard so much about it and it didn't disappoint us yet. The upstairs is kind of a funky bar, with a friendly Burmese waiter. He took a long time to make us 2 mojitos. It was kind of quiet for an early Saturday evening.

We then proceeded downstairs to its restaurant which had a stage for its jazz performances. The band was supposed to come on at 9.30pm but we waited and waited. We were then informed by yet another Burmese waiter that one of the members met with an accident and the performance was cancelled that evening. Oh well, just not our evening for jazz.

We really liked this area and will definitely return.
